The Department of Veterinary Anatomy, KNP College of Veterinary Science, Shirwal was established on 12/12/1988. Initial Dr. A. N. Zope, Assistant Professor of Anatomy was alone shouldering the responsibility as incharge of the department till 1991. Dr. A. M. Pachpande had joined the department in 1991 as an Associate Professor and in charge of the department up to 2003. Dr. O. N. Ladukar joined the department as Associate Professor in the year 2003. He was head of the department in charge of up to year 2003. Dr. S. R. Chavan worked as an Associate professor and in charge in the year 2005. Dr. A. M. Pachpande had again joined as Professor and Head in year 2006. Dr. Lambate was working as Assistant Professor till,August 2021. . Presently Dr. Shilpa P. Salunke (Modekar), Associate Professor of Anatomy is working as Head of Department of Veterinary Anatomy since Sept 2021 till date. She was previously working as Assistant prof. at Mumbai Veterinary College, since 2009-2018.
The department had organized Mid Annual Convention of Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomist and National Seminar on “Recent Advances in Innovative Techniques for field Veterinarians in General and Teaching Veterinary Anatomy in Particular”. On 8 th May 2008.
